President signed law directed at improvement of struggle against corruption

The President of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the law on amendments and additions to the acts of the Republic Kazakhstan concerning improvement of struggle against corruption, directed at improvement of struggle against corruption, strengthening of responsibility, introduction the mechanisms directed at its prevention, the agency reports referring to the message of the president's press service.

The Senate accepted the law on June 28 in the second final reading.

Presenting the bill in Majilis, co-speaker - deputy Valery Doskalov explained that the norm, according to which "the opportunity of confiscation of income and property received in a criminal way, the responsibility for concealment of corruption crimes, strengthening of responsibility for mediation and bribery and responsibility of officials of foreign states and international organizations for bribery is being introduced to the legislation."
