On February 3, 2005 under the initiative of Transparency Kazakhstan and with the financial support of Friedrich Ebert Foundation the discussion on public participation in architecture and construction of Almaty took place.
There were discussed following themes:
- Problems and prospects of road junction in Almaty
- Civil construction
- Conflict of interests, transparency public oversight over the construction
- City problems and ecology
Representatives of parliament, Institute of “City and Transport Project”, Union of Architects, NGOs and international experts have taken part in the discussion.
