In the city Pushkin near to Saints-Petersburg had taken place 2-nd international conference of interregional dialogue of trust “Preventing Corruption: What does society can? (Anti-corruption monitoring)”.
Organizers: Center of anti-corruption initiatives and researches TI-Russian, Saints-Petersburg humanitarian and political science center “Strategy”, TI-Ukraine and National anti-corruption programme “Freedom of choice”, Ukraine.
The aim of the conference was the discussion of different directions of organisations of civil society’s activity in the field of preventing corruption, promoting norms of transparency and accountability.
Themes of discussions:
- public participation in the decision-making process
- public legal expertise
- protection of civil rights and civil education
- public monitoring over the formation and execution of budgets
- public monitoring of state procurement
- public monitoring of election funds
Under the results of discussion participants adopted the Memorandum and the decision on creation of anti-corruption network of interregional dialogue of trust.
