It is not a secret that issues of political parties’ transparency and their interaction with different layers of the social life are topical in this year as never before.
We are on the eve of parliamentary elections which can define development of our state for the next five years. In this situation society needs to know who, how much, to whom and what for gives money. Today we can’t say that society knows such data. According to some researches the level of shadow funding of political parties makes 70-80%. And at that the level of shadow economy of the country is 30%. What we have in the result? In the result people lost their trust to political parties and don’t go to election.
The main problem in Kazakhstan – if Kazakhstan wants to have strong party system, it should have effective civil society institutes, which will monitor transparency.
