Transparency Kazakhstan researches forms of corruption in state institutions, political parties and private sector. Results of these researches become themes for discussions at conferences and round tables. TK experts carry out independent assessment of state anti-corruption initiatives, role of civil society organisations in the fight against corruption, capability of all social layers to counteract corruption.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION
In December 2002 to January 2003 Transparency Kazakhstan being supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) conducted an expert poll in order to perform maximum objective assessment of media's participation in fighting corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This assessment, in turn, was to reveal: degree and reasons for participation/non-participation of Kazakhstan media in fighting corruption; degree and frequency of publication/coverage, urgency and objectivity of their materials concerning the problem of corruption and anti-corruption policy; level of interaction between media and the state in the course of fighting corruption.
